Travel to Antigua and Barbuda

Passport holders of most OAS Member States do not require visas to enter Antigua and Barbuda. Additionally, holders of Diplomatic and Official passports are granted visa-free entry for official purposes. (Click Here to see if your country is visa exempt).

Some countries will require an e-Visa for travel to Antigua and Barbuda.

Delegates and other duly accredited persons who intend to participate in the Fifty-Fifth Regular Session of the General Assembly and who, because of their nationality or category of passport require a visa to enter the country, can obtain visas upon arrival at V.C. Bird International Airport.

Visa Requirements for attending the 55th Regular Session of the OAS General Assembly.

Visa free travel is afforded to the citizens of a number of countries who wish to travel to Antigua and Barbuda for business or pleasure.

Persons travelling to Antigua and Barbuda who are required to have a visa to enter and are in possession of a current US visa or US Permanent Resident card, Canadian Visa or Canadian Permanent Resident card, EU Schengen Visa, UK Visa or UK Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) valid for a minimum of six months may be permitted to proceed with their scheduled trip.

Upon arrival the passenger can present the necessary documents and may obtain a visa on arrival at a cost of US$100.

The following documents must be submitted for this purpose:

Confirmation of accreditation at the event (official invitation or designation note)
Passport valid for at least six months

National Coordination

Local preparations for the Fifty-Fifth Regular Session of the General Assembly are spearheaded by the International and Regional Conferences and Events Unit (IRCE) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Unit coordinates with local public- and private-sector stakeholders to ensure completion of responsibilities related to matters of accommodations, security, health, transport, logistics and several other areas.
