Health and Safety

The health and wellbeing of every participant in the 55th Regular Session of the OAS General Assembly is of paramount importance. To this end, the Government of Antigua and Barbuda will make available ambulance services to participants with the necessary health staff for any medical attention and first aid needs that may arise during the General Assembly.

Of equal importance is the safety and security of all attendees. Access to the conference venue and its immediate environs will be strictly controlled by local and regional law enforcement and security forces, together with assistance from international law enforcement agencies, as well as accredited private sector security assets to provide a secure setting for a successful General Assembly. In all cases, strict adherence to international security standards and associated protocols will be implemented.

All delegates are encouraged to have Travel/Health Insurance in the event that treatment beyond typical emergency is required.
